  PERSONAL PROFILE

Shelley Pieper-Reynolds

EDUCATION & RESIDENCE:
  • Caryn's School of Modeling in 1993

  • Minneapolis Police Reserve Training 1991

  • St. Paul Technical College in 1986

  • A 1984 graduate of Park Senior High and a long time resident of Cottage Grove

ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Wife: My husband’s name is Melvin, but to many, he’s known as “Butch.” He’s a wonderful man who has a great personality. He recently changed careers, so is now in the business of selling cars.  What a great opportunity to let his love for people and his outgoing personality shine! I honestly must say we compliment each other well.

  • Mother: I am the mother of four beautiful boys, currently ranging from pre-school age to early teens. They are all very active in sports, so our family can often be seen at one field or another.

  • Daughter: I am the one and only daughter of Donald and Karen Pieper. They have resided in Cottage Grove ever since I can remember.  They have been fabulous parents! They’ve supported everything I’ve ever done in life (whether they agreed with my choice or not). They have loved me unconditionally, and they instilled in me a strong foundation comprised of good morals and values. I am forever grateful to them and I love them dearly.

  • Sister: I am the younger sister of Ron and Kevin Pieper, both whom reside in Cottage Grove as well. Growing up we shared our differences, but we always stuck together. My brothers always looked out for their “little sister,” and continue that philosophy yet today. They’ve been wonderful Uncles for my children, and they remain a big piece of my life. I couldn’t have asked for better siblings – they’re the best!

  • Full-Time Employee: I am an executive assistant / rebate coordinator for a Saint Paul envelope manufacturing company. This is a 40-hour per week position and the role I like to refer to as “my paying job.”

  • Shelley Homemaker: This is yet another full-time position for me. Unfortunately, this role is non-income producing, but the benefits (in the long run) are rewarding and worthwhile. This role is what I call “the catch-all” position. It includes the many household tasks that need to get done (and / or coordinated): meal preparation, doing the dishes, cleaning the house, laundry, bathing children, laying out clothes for the kids, helping with homework, taking out the trash, figuring the bills (creative financing), attending school functions, taking children to sporting events, yard work and general maintenance.

  • Independent Beauty Consultant: I am an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Click here to visit my Mary Kay Page.

  • Entrepreneur: I am the founder of R.O.S.E. and am in pursuit of other opportunities at present as well that will work in conjunction with R.O.S.E.

  • NASE Member: I am a member of the National Association of Self-Esteem.

 ACTIVITIES:
  • Pageants: Mrs. Minnesota International Competition

  • Reigning Mrs. Washington County International 2003, my role is to promote my platform issue throughout the community.  I have done that through various speaking engagements and by working with schools / churches.  I have volunteered my services for charitable organizations and have participated in a local parade.
